Man who ‘died’ for 45 minutes says he saw someone standing over him – and it’s absolutely wild

I don’t know what it is, but there’s something really terrifying about near-death experiences. It’s fascinating to hear stories about the afterlife, but you wouldn’t want to live through one yourself.

Just last week, a woman who “died” for eight minutes revealed what she saw, and now the story of a man who “died” for 45 minutes has resurfaced, and it’s shocking what he saw.

So, what exactly happened?

Mike McKinsey, a Californian man, had been dealing with stomach pain for a few days before finally heading to a hospital in Ventura. What he didn’t know was that his appendix had already burst, a serious medical emergency. He was quickly taken into surgery.

While on the operating table, Mike flatlined. For nearly 45 minutes, his heart stopped. He was, as far as the medical team could tell, gone. But somehow, against all odds, he came back and when he woke up, he had a story that left people speechless.

Well, what did he see?

According to Mike, everything around him faded away in that moment. The cold, the lights, the noise, all gone. He turned his head and saw someone standing to his right. Not a doctor. Not a nurse. But Jesus.

Mike said, “His skin was much darker than I’d seen as a kid – he almost looked like an Arab man. He was wearing a white robe, he had like wavy brown hair and he had these dark greenish-blue eyes and when those eyes looked into my eyes, he looked into my soul. I could just feel this love emanating from this man that was what convinced me that it was Jesus.”

Mike didn’t experience floating above his body or a tunnel of light. Instead, he felt like he had stepped into a higher version of reality, more vivid, more alive. And when Jesus reached out and asked if he wanted his prayers answered, it all clicked. As a child, Mike used to pray that Jesus would show him heaven.

“I didn’t make the connection right away,” Mike said. “But I thought I used to pray as a kid that Jesus would show me heaven.”

Scary, but heartwarming.
