Carina reveals the truth about Jamie and Eliot’s ‘blossoming’ post-MAFS relationship

They might not have found love on MAFS Australia season 12, but Jamie Marinos and Eliot Donovan’s brewing relationship is stacking up to be one for the reality TV history books.

Eliot was a huge red flag at the start of the season, barrelling through two marriages to Lauren Hall and Veronica Cloherty. Meanwhile, Jamie was rock solid with Dave Hand until homestays, when she felt him retracting inwards. How they somehow got together is anyone’s best guess, though hopefully they’ll spill the gory details soon.

The Jamie and Eliot romance was seemingly born after filming wrapped, with her featuring pretty majorly on his flourishing TikTok account. They’ve neither confirmed nor denied being in an official relationship, and while Jamie has said they are testing the waters, Carina Mirabile has now beaten them to the punch.

“I think Jamie is in her love bubble at the moment with her and Eliot,” Carina told Nine.

It’s become clear that Eliot and Jamie are spending A LOT of time together, which Carina described as “a little happy bubble” that is allowing them to really get to know one another.

“I think it’s still early stages for them but they’re definitely in their little happy bubble and enjoying each other’s time together and really just getting to know one another,” she added. “She’s just super happy and her old self again. There’s a spark in her, and they get along really well. I’m happy for them, she’s deserving of it and he’s deserving of it. If that’s what makes them happy, then so it should be.”

Carina, Eliot, and Jamie became friends during MAFS post-production when the lads, including Ryan and Adrian, flew into Sydney for a catch-up. Of course, this came after Carina and Jamie butted heads on the show, but they are all good now.

“I have no animosity against her, we’re all human. We have different emotions and deal with things differently,” Carina explained.

Eliot and Jamie have kept relatively tight-lipped about their blossoming romance, that is, besides making jabs and pokes at Jamie’s ex-hubby Dave on TikTok. Still, Jamie did dish a little on how it’s still early days.

“I hang out heaps with Eliot. He’s become a very good, very close person to my life so I’m really appreciative of Eliot,” she told Nine.

“I understand everyone wants an answer but we’re in the real world now, so it’s not like we’re going to be official or announce something tomorrow. I’m enjoying getting to know Eliot, I’m getting to know different people I’m just being open.”

Jamie also responded to the theory that their romance is simply for clout, explaining: “We only started hanging around each other since we both left our marriages, just over a month ago. He’s always been a very good friend to me, but he’s been a really amazing support system.

“We have so much fun together, getting to know each other, and making TikToks are always so much fun. But for me, the important thing is that it’s not a publicity stunt, we just genuinely enjoy being around each other.”
