Paul says how he’d have felt if Carina went on back up MAFS date – and he’s definitely lying

Paul has revealed how he would have felt if his MAFS Australia bride Carina had gone on a date with her back up groom. This week, the show introduced final test week. It gave the participants the option to go on a date with their second choice match, who the experts also thought they were compatible with.

Despite saying he’s very happy with Carina, Paul jumped at the chance to go on a date with someone else. He put it down to simple “curiosity” but Carina said to her, it felt like cheating. She argued if he did it now, what would stop him looking at other women outside of the experiment.

Carina, of course, said because of her morals she didn’t go on the date. And now, Paul has revealed how he would have felt if like him, Carina had met her second choice match. He’s tried to play it off, but let’s remember this is the man who when Carina’s dating history came up, punched a hole in their apartment wall.

“If roles were reversed and if Carina had decided to go on that date… it would have not bothered me, because I was so secure in my relationship and I’m so confident in myself and in what I’m bringing to the relationship – and I was trusting Carina,” he told 9Entertainment.

Speaking about himself going on the date, he added: “I wasn’t thinking straight, there was no malicious intentions but I took the decision to go on that date. I wasn’t hoping to get anyone better, I wasn’t hoping to even have fun I just remember thinking – cool, whatever, just another task.”
