Thirst traps to charity work: What Sam Thompson’s done since his split with Zara McDermott

It’s been a whole four months since Sam Thompson split up with Zara McDermott, and I still haven’t moved on from this. The couple seem to be moving on quickly. Sam Thompson is reportedly dating Samie from Love Island, and Zara McDermott is legit with Louis Tomlinson (in the weirdest UK celeb crossover, like, ever). Here are all the vibey things Sam Thompson has been up to since his shocking split with Zara McDermott.

He spent Christmas doing charity work

Sam spent Christmas away from Zara and helping out a charity, which is extremely nice of him. The Camila Batmanghelidjh Foundation helps children and young people in Bristol, Liverpool and London.

He’s been co-parenting the cats with Zara

I’m so relieved their fur babies are okay. Following the split, Zara moved out of their west London home. Both Zara and Sam have been posting pictures with their cats Albus and Cedric, which suggests they’ve reached some sort of custody agreement. Phew.

Erm, he’s been posting thirst traps?!

Sam let slip on his Staying Relevant podcast with Pete Wicks that following his split from Zara, he “panicked” and attempted to post thirst trap selfies on his Instagram story. Pete advised Sam to post more pictures with his cats, in order to entice girl. Fair.

Sam also went pottery painting which is unexpectedly wholesome

I suppose he has to think of other things to fill up his Instagram feed now he can’t post endless selfies with Zara. In February, Sam went pottery painting with his family in Fulham. He handcrafted an ashtray for Pete Wicks, who is presumably the new love of his life. Nawwww.

At the start of April, someone spotted Sam partying with Lucy Syed from Too Hot To Handle at a fancy Chelsea nightclub called The Rex Rooms. A source apparently told the Daily Mail: “Sam and Lucy were sharing direct messages over Instagram before they decided to meet up at a pub and then continue their night at The Rex Rooms. They looked really close in the club, chatting and cuddling up together.”

He’s now dating another Love Islander

Apparently Sam Thompson is super into Love Islanders, because it looks like he’s dating the Love Island: All Stars contestant Samie Elishi. The couple seem to have met when Samie was dumped from All Stars, and Sam was a presenter on the Love Island podcast Aftersun. They followed each other on Instagram soon afterwards. The two spent Easter weekend in Chelsea together.
