Omg, we finally know Louis Tomlinson and Zara McDermott are dating – here’s the evidence

Breaking news: Louis Tomlinson and Zara McDermott held hands on the way to lunch. The One Directioner and former Love Islander were photographed yesterday en route to Soho Beach House in Malibu. It seems that all those dating rumours are true, and they actually are an item?! This is so unexpected. Here’s what we know so far about their relationship.

The reality TV icon split from Sam Thompson on New Year’s Day and the whole world mourned. The pair were together for about five years.

The two are connected through Louis’s sisters

Louis Tomlinson and Zara McDermott is actually not an entirely random combination. Louis’s sister Lottie is a professional make-up artists who follows Zara on Instagram. His sisters Daisy and Phoebe also follow her.

Sam Thompson’s sister Louise also used to date Louis’s bandmate Niall. So all these rich famous British millennials do run in similar circles – even if One Direction stars seem infinitely more famous than former Made In Chelsea side characters.

People claim to have spotted them on vibey dates

Imagine seeing those two at the table along from you in the pub. In mid-March, someone claimed to have spotted Louis Tomlinson and Zara McDermott at a boujie hotel in Aldeburgh, a coastal town in Suffolk. Apparently they spent £100 on fish and chips. I didn’t even know it was possible to spend £100 on fish and chips.

A guest at the hotel told The Sun: “Louis and Zara were having a great time. They were touching hands over the table and looked so happy and relaxed. They had the brill, the whole fish, and shared it with sides and Zara had a few cocktails. Louis was really making her giggle and they chatted for ages.

“Louis was a real gentleman and acknowledged his fans. People had noticed who they were but everyone kept a respectful distance.”

They revealed they were together in Los Angeles

But last week, Zara posted a video of her watching the Stereophonics at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

A few minutes later, Louis uploaded a video of the same group from a near-identical angle. Maybe they were intentionally teasing their fans that they were in a relationship. Or maybe they both wanted to put something on their Instagram stories and didn’t think through the consequences.

Later on, Zara posted a pic of brunch. Some fans were convinced they could see Louis’s arm tattoos in the background.
