Oops! Awhina and Adrian broke MAFS rules TWICE and they’ve just shared the juicy details

Bonnie and Clyde got nothing on these two reality TV criminals

MAFS Australia couple Adrian Araouzou and Awhina Rutene have admitted to breaking the show’s rules in unaired moments that only strengthened their controversial bond.

Despite having an almost instant attraction, cracks in Adrian and Awhina’s relationship began to show in their debut episode. Those cracks soon became canyons, and according to spoilers from Australia, it only gets worse from here.

But amidst Awhina’s red flag dodging and Adrian needing his own subtitles, it seems 2025’s most controversial couple has been up to no good with the cheekiest of rule breaks.

Awhina

MAFS’ Adrian and Awhina broke the rules for a cheeky getaway

For years we’ve heard how MAFS contestants break rules left, right and centre with some transgressions being far worse than others. According to some sources, said rules include not making an OnlyFans, media appearance approvals, and keeping out of the public eye.

Though Adrian and Awhina are yet to make bank on OnlyFans, they did tell the MailOnline about a cheeky rule break that could have landed them in trouble.

“Me and Awhina went away one weekend and we thought we messaged production, but she messaged the wrong number and we ended up staying with Tony Mojanovski that weekend,” Adrian told the publication.

The choice reportedly annoyed their fellow cast members but Adrian doesn’t regret doing it because it brought him and Awhina closer than ever.

“Honestly, I think it saved us… we both realised, hey, let’s just pretend we both just met and restart and see where this goes,” he added. “And when we’ve done that, look how it turned out.”

The second rule break came much later in the series when after the final dinner party Adrian and Awhina defied production by stopping in an AirBnB together.

“We weren’t supposed to, but we did. We both got an Airbnb and stayed with each other for three days straight,’ he added. “And to be fair, that’s why the Final Vows went the way it did… when you’re away from a partner, you think about all the negatives. But when you’re there, all the problems go away. That’s a beautiful thing… and with me and her, the feelings were real.”

This is not the first time rules have been broken in the 2025 season, with Jacqui Burfoot earlier spilling on her marriage despite the show still airing.

“I am currently in a relationship with someone with a person who is exactly what I asked for,” she said, revealing how she had ditched her reality TV groom. “Someone kind, considerate, a great man, and intelligent. Sometimes miracles happen because today I am in fact happy and in a loving long-term relationship!”
