‘Must have caused brain damage’: The Love Is Blind cast is beefing over Dave and it’s nasty

The cast members of Love Is Blind season eight are getting into some shady Instagram fights and it’s all over Dave’s recent Instagram post where he called for people to leave his family alone.

David Bettenburg has been forced to weather countless accusations this season. From his relationship with his sister to his *unique* taste in decorating, there’s a lot to cover at the upcoming reunion and Dave attempted to do some damage control with a cautionary statement on Instagram.

“I’m far from perfect and I’m not here for sympathy. This experiment was very difficult and I’ve learned a lot this past year. The way I handled things wasn’t fair to anyone, especially Lauren,” he said.

“I’ve grown, been humbled, and will continue to work on being the best person I can be. Please direct all hate towards me and leave my family out of it. To those that know me and have reached out to be very supportive, I appreciate it more than you know! I’ll be back.”

Most of Dave’s comment sections are messy – hence his earlier statements about being kinder – but this one was something else entirely. Even the not-so-prominent members of the cast were chiming in.

The Love is Blind cast doesn’t seem to agree

The brief social media tussle started with the following comment from Benji Smith who apparently did feature in season eight: “Bros before hoes. I would’ve felt the same dude you’re all good don’t sweat it! Love ya!”

Another season eight cast member, Casandra Barron, replied: “Hey so this is insane.”

Rather than just air the comment and pretend it got swallowed up amongst the hundreds of other scathing Dave-related comments, Benji replied: “@casandraann_ her way or the highway eh? Any man of value would dodge the headache—swap the roles, get real.”

According to screenshots posted on Reddit, Casandra then replied “That forehead zit must have caused some brain damage.”

The shady response received quite a few likes on Instagram and a skull emoji from Casandra’s season eight sister Vanessa Boreland.

Not to be rude, but who is Benji?

If like me you’re wondering who the hell Benji Smith is, then you might be surprised to learn that he was also on Love Is Blind season eight. As someone on Instagram said, he only received “o.2 seconds” of screentime during the pods segment.
