People think they’ve worked out the real reason Lucinda dropped out of Love Island All Stars

This is so beefy

Love Island All Stars season two wrapped up for 2025 last night, and there was one glaring emission who was hotly tipped to be going into the villa and yet never did. That Islander is Lucinda Strafford, a pretty memorable 2021 cast member who if you don’t remember her face you’ll definitely remember the ear-piercing way she used to say “really”. You know the one. Lucinda was signed, sealed and booked to go on Love Island All Stars and had even flown out to South Africa, but pulled out at the last minute. Now people think they’ve actually rumbled the real reason Lucinda dropped out of Love Island All Stars and it definitely makes a whole lot of sense.

Lucinda got right back onto a plane in Cape Town after landing when she had a last minute change of heart about doing Love Island All Stars, and after last night’s final people think they’ve rumbled the real reason why. In the final episode, the finalists were “treated” (or punished) to a DJ set by Nathan Dawe. And this is the pivotal reason why Lucinda might have swerved it off.

One fan said on Twitter “So this is why Lucinda actually backed out? Didn’t want to possibly come face to face with her ex DJing!”  With another saying “Isn’t Nathan Dawe Lucinda’s ex. That would have been awkward if she came in cuz she did travel.”

Lucinda and Nathan Dawe briefly dated last year, with the relationship ending just a few months after they went public with it. Lucinda said to The Sun at the time “My last relationship was quite a chilled one. Nathan [Dawe] is literally the best and we still have conversations from time to time. I wouldn’t say we’re friends but we’re on good terms and chilled.

“We were dating at the start of summer and he’s the busiest through summer with his music, so it was kind of like both of our schedules were so busy that it was hard to put time into the relationship.”

Although it does sound like they’re on good terms, she still might not have wanted to be treated to an intimate DJ set with her ex on the telly. Fair play, really.
