Remember the viral ‘Hey Monsters’ kid? He’s now tragically different after conversion camp
He now believes Lady Gaga fans are ‘demonic’
After Lady Gaga released the single Abracadabra from her upcoming album, many people on TikTok argued the viral “Hey Monsters” kid would love Gaga’s return to her classic sound.
Way back in 2009, a young Staten Harry reacted to Lady Gaga’s iconic track Alejandro, and though he has since deleted the video, reposts of it are a regular sight on TikTok and Twitter as they rack up millions of views. He made similar videos for other songs and was soon known through phrases like “Keep those paws up” and “Everyone better be jumpin.”
Following the release of Abracadabra last week – a prelude to Gaga’s eighth studio album Mayhem – many people on TikTok turned to Staten for his opinion. His response was completely heartbreaking, but unfortunately, a narrative all too common.
Staten Harry is no longer a Lady Gaga fan
Staten has a vastly different social media presence to his younger self, and after being called upon to react to Abracadabra he responded with a firm rejection of Lady Gaga’s music.
“Yes I am the Lady Gaga Monsters child but I no longer associate myself with Lady Gaga and believe that her fans are demonic and I do not condone that behaviour,” he said while outright refusing to react to Abracadabra.
In the decade since Staten Harry found fame as Lady Gaga’s biggest fan, he has turned to a life of Christianity and rejected her music for bible verses and scripture readings. He’s also now a supporter of Anthony Quintal, an outspoken advocate of Christian celibacy.

“I legit had thousands of picture of her on my phone. Pictures even on my wall. My clothes. My phone’s wallpaper. My entire social media accounts were even based upon worshipping her. Wow….Thank you LORD for saving me. Amen,” he said on YouTube in 2022.
When talking about finding his faith, Staten revealed on TikTok that his parents had sent him to a “conversion camp and it changed me for the better.”
Most recently, he claimed “Jesus radically transformed my life” before breaking into a sermon-like speech about the dedication of Jesus and the light he can bring to your life. He’s been dramatically transformed from that bright-eyed Lady Gaga fan and it’s honestly devastating to see.

Reacting to what many people called his “brainwashed” transformation, one person wrote: “This is beyond messed up. Parents are supposed to protect their kids, not be the source of their pain.”
“Man that’s actually so heartbreaking, I truly don’t get how people, human beings can take another human being let alone their kid and be so filled with hate that they ruin and mould them into someone they aren’t,” another person said.
