Which celebs have won the most Grammys in history? The list is actually surprising

Take a wild guess who’s at the top of this list

The Grammys seem like the most important award for any musician to hold, and you can literally spend a lifetime working in music just to never get one. So, let’s find out once and for all which of our favourite celebs have won the most Grammys in history. The list might surprise you, but I bet you can guess who’s at the top of it!

10. Billie Eilish – nine

For a 23-year-old woman, Billie Eilish has won an INSANE amount of Grammy awards. She was just 18 when she won all four of the main Grammy categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist. For that alone, she’s unbeatable.

9. Dolly Parton – 10

Our favourite country singer Dolly Parton has won 10 Grammys over the span of her career, and been nominated 55 times. She won her first Grammy in 1979 at the 21st Grammy awards, for Best Country Vocal Performance. She also later won Grammys for I Will Always Love You, Jolene and 9 to 5. In 2011, she received the Grammys Lifetime Award and was inducted into the hall of fame. What a country queen!

8. Lady Gaga – 14

Lady Gaga has been a revolutionary part of 21st-century music, and it’s no surprise she has wiped the floor with Grammy wins. She won most recently this year for her duo performance with Bruno Mars on Die With A Smile. She deserves it all!

8. Taylor Swift – 14

Just like Gaga, Taylor Swift has won 14 Grammy awards too. She was the youngest person to ever win a Grammy at 20 years old at the time. That fateful night in 2010, she won FOUR Grammys for Album of the Year, Best Female Country Vocal Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album.

She is the second youngest person to win the Album of the Year award and the 12th female artist with the most awards. She is also the first female artist to win Album of the Year twice, as well as the first artist in history to win the award four times with Fearless in 2010, 1989 in 2016, Folklore in 2021, and Midnights in 2024.

6. Adele – 16

Adele has taken home 16 Grammys over the span of her massive career, which should come as a surprise to no one. She consistently breaks streaming and sales records every time she releases any new music, and is just loved by everyone. She can do no wrong in my eyes!!

5. Alicia Keys – 17

I was kind of surprised to see Alicia Keys so high up on this list, but when you think about it, she’s an R&B superpower. She has won most of her awards in the R&B categories, but at her first Grammys she won five awards at once, including Best New Artist. Wow!

4. Kendrick Lamar – 22

Kendrick Lamar made history at the 2025 Grammys and took home literally a million Grammys for his song, Not Like Us. He’s had 57 nominations throughout his career too, which is just wild.

3. Kanye West – 24

Love him or hate him, Kanye has had 24 wins and 76 nominations. He’s been nominated at almost every Grammy awards since he started making music, which helps. He won three Grammys at his first awards show for The College Dropout, Jesus Walks and You Don’t Know My Name, but he’s never taken home one of the main awards like Album of the Year or Song of the Year.

2. Jay Z – 25

Maybe it’s just my naive Gen Z age showing but I can’t actually name a single solo Jay Z song apart from Crazy in Love, so I was surprised to see him here. He’s had 25 wins and 89 nominations, and his music has been in the charts since 1998. Like Kanye, he’s never won any of the main awards but he’s taken home plenty of Rap and producer awards to make up for it.

1. Beyoncé – 35!

Dun dun dun! Who’s surprised to see Queen Bey at the top of the list? Not me. Out of all the celebs who have won the most Grammys, Beyoncé takes the crown. She has a whopping 35 Grammy awards, making her the most-awarded musician in Grammys history. However, she hadn’t won Album of the Year until this year, so it’s safe to say it’s been years in the making.
