Here’s a reminder of all the All Stars Islanders’ first attempts at the iconic heart rate challenge

It’s that time again! The Love Island All Stars villa is hosting the heart rate challenge. This means one thing only: We’re in for some iconic TV.

Every year the heart rate challenge comes around, and it never disappoints. Be that because the Islanders give us an actual lesson in how to be sexy, or the complete opposite. Sometimes the costumes are terrible, and it’s a massive cringe-fest. But we love it all the same.

Not all of the All Stars Islanders did the heart rate challenge the first time they were in the villa. But, here’s a rundown of all those who did, and a reminder of their *interesting* performances.

Grace Jackson

I fear no man who was in the Love Island 2024 villa with Grace has recovered from this moment. She showed up, dressed in a full catsuit, and whipped the boys. She was sucking fingers, giving lap dances and licking necks. Joey Essex actually screamed.

Ron Hall

This clearly wasn’t Ron in his element. He was given a high-vis, some teenie tiny shorts and a hard hat, and told to get on with it. There really weren’t many other highlights.

Casey O’Gorman

Casey is another unfortunate Islander, not really given much with his heart rate challenge outfit. The little denim booty shorts and check shirt were clearly a half-arsed attempt from the costume department, so they just chucked some very not sexy glasses on him.

Casey being Casey though, quite literally threw himself into it. He was jumping around, snogging the girls, and ripped off his shirt to show off a chest I don’t want to know how long he spent oiling beforehand.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

Ekin-Su nailed her heart rate challenge. It’ll be tough for her to ever repeat. If you skip to around 1:30 in the video above you’ll see her dressed as a saucy wife, ready to have all the boys on one knee.

Luca Bish

Luca was given some sort of circus entertainer outfit for his challenge in 2022. He really only could try his best from there. He surprisingly made a beeline for Ekin-Su, and straight up bent her over. Skip to 1:30 in the video above to get a front row seat.

Catherine Agbaje

Catherine really saw it was heart rate time and thought, all in a day’s work. She ate it up. Scott probably still thinks about this daily.

Ronnie Vint

I just need to know what the producers were thinking when they handed Ronnie a little handkerchief to protect his modesty. He whipped it off to reveal tiny shiny red shorts and then gyrated up all the girls one by one. Terrible, really.

Curtis Pritchard

I will never be over Curtis Pritchard doing the heart rate challenge the first time around. The 2019 villa wasn’t ready. The world wasn’t ready. King Julian hath rise!

Sammy Root

Sammy’s 2023 heart rate challenge was all costume, no substance. Sorry! He came in with huge angel wings (lasted seconds) and tiny gold shorts. The girls literally laughed at how awkward it was.

“Sammy’s shorts were so tight, I had to block my vision,” Catherine said.  Jess, who Sammy was with, added: “Sammy came in with so much confidence, bless him. It’s funny.”
