An iconic former cast member of The Traitors has revealed how the BBC has the right to get contestants sued for an absolute fortune if they break a strict rule in the contract. Season three has been just as juicy as the other two before it, and whilst some haven’t been quite as enamoured with the third trip to the castle – nobody can debate that this week has been so juicy. As we’ve watched the finalists rack the prize fund up this week, here’s a look at the very strict rule that if The Traitors cast break they can incur a fine of ‘hundreds and thousands of pounds’.

Jaz Singh, who was dubbed Jazatha Christie for his insane detective work in the last season, has opened up to The Sun about a crazy behind the scenes rule from The Traitors that has a hefty fine for a rule break that could seriously burn a hefty hole in their pockets. Even if they win the prize pot.

He said: “You have to get a ton of stuff prepared, how you’re going to deliver this information to various family members to keep this a secret, because you’re under an NDA, and they will sue you for hundreds of thousands of pounds of TV damages if this gets leaked.”

The players are then expected to maintain this ultra tight-lipped until the whole show ends. Which is pretty expected of most reality shows but can you imagine knowing you get to the final and having to witness the entire world say you don’t exist. Francesca got put through the ringer!
