Wait, why did Ronnie and Harriett break up? Here’s what happened after Love Island

Maybe they’ll rekindle things on All Stars

Ronnie Vint is about to have an awkward reunion with his ex Harriett Blackmore as she joins Love Island All Stars as a bombshell.

The pair met in the villa last year and seemed like they had great chemistry, but split just weeks after getting home. Why did they break up?!

Well, a source told The Sun they “tried to make it work” but were both so busy that they couldn’t “dedicate enough time” to the relationship.

However, being busy wasn’t the only issue. Harriett later told HeatWorld they both needed some time to work on themselves.

“I think we both need to work on ourselves and he’s the most amazing boy ever and I’ve shared such a special experience with him,” she said.

Plus, the 24-year-old claimed that they rushed into things too quickly. So, perhaps they were never really right for each other in the first place.

She added: “I think we just need to take things slower because, like with everyone else, we rushed into it.”

While they were together, Ronnie was wrongly accused of cheating after being spotted costing up to a teacher on a night out in Milton Keynes.

He denied being unfaithful to Harriet, saying he was just being friendly during one of his personal appearances.

“I’ve been doing PAs, and obviously I’m going to take photos with girls and whatever, but there is nothing else, and she knows that, and obviously that’s the life we live now,” he said.

“If someone is close friends with me, and I’m talking to her, someone is going to try to take a photo, and that’s what it can look like.”

The false allegations certainly could’ve caused trust issues and cracks in their relationship. However, ultimately, Harriett has said there’s no bad blood after the breakup.

She told The Sun: “I love him so much but it just didn’t work as a relationship and that’s fine. We shared the most amazing experience together and I always have so much love and respect for him.”

“It’s not often you share a villa experience with someone — and if people are calling it a showmance, it simply wasn’t a show. We have a special connection and I’ll always treasure that.”

Will they rekindle things on All Stars? Well, Ronnie previously said he was open to the idea, so we’ll have to wait and see.
