All the scary Nostradamus predictions for 2025 that could come true this year

Every January, people turn to Nostradamus to find out what devastating things could be in store for us this year.

The famous French physician and astrologer wrote a 1955 book called Les Prophéties which outlined all kinds of predictions for the future.

They don’t actually relate to specific years, it’s just a list of 942 poetic predictions that he thought would eventually come true.

However, people are convinced that some of them relate to real-world events and tragedies that have already happened.

Each year, people pick out the ones that they think will come true. So, what are the terrifying Nostradamus predictions for 2025?!

England joins a huge war

He predicted that England would become part of a huge war, writing: “When those from the lands of Europe, See England set up her throne behind. Her flanks, there will be cruel wars. The ancient plague will be worse than enemies.” Could this be referring to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and Russia?

A huge asteroid hits Earth

Nostradamus also thought that a huge asteroid would hit Earth, predicting: “From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads. Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance.” People think this will happen every year, but will 2025 actually be the one?

Global economic collapse

People are also predicting that there will be a global economic crisis that will cause millions to lose money as Nostradamus wrote about “fortunes lost overnight”. However, that’s a very general one that could have already happened multiple times.

The physician also wrote: “Garden of the world near the new city, In the path of the hollow mountains: It will be seized and plunged into the Tub, Forced to drink waters poisoned by sulphur.” People think the “Garden of the world” is the Amazon rainforest, so he could be predicting devastating floods in Brazil.

A new society in the sea

He predicted that a “mysterious leader” would emerge from the depths of the sea and lead a new “Aquatic Empire”. That sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, but with rising sea levels due to climate change and advancing technology, a new society living in the water isn’t actually that far-fetched.

More conflict breaks out

Throughout his prophecies, Nostradamus wrote about “wars in distant lands” and “great powers clashing on many occasions,” so could even more wars break out across the world? Well, The Simpsons eerily predicted that there could be a World War 3. Let’s hope not!
