All the terrifying The Simpsons predictions that could actually come true in 2025
The cartoon has accurately predicted so many wild things
2025 is here and as always, people are predicting what will happen this year. From Nostradamus’ prophecies to which celebrities will die, all kinds of theories are circling.
Many are also turning to The Simpsons, which has eerily predicted loads of events including the Capitol Riots, the Biden-Harris presidency and Lady Gaga’s epic Super Bowl.
So, what could be in store for 2025? Well, there aren’t any Simpsons episodes that actually reference this year. However, lots of things from the series could come true.
World War 3 could be coming
In a The Simpsons short that aired in 1987, Homer wakes up everyone in the house and tells them World War 3 has begun. They all run to the bomb shelter, and this keeps happening over a series of nights. Many think another world war could actually be on the horizon as tensions continue with Russia.
Virtual reality goes too far
In the 2016 episode Friends and Family, Mr. Burns creates virtual versions of the entire Simpsons family to live with him as a psychiatrist told him he needs some family to deal with his personality issues. With VR technology constantly advancing, fake families could actually become a reality.
Donald Trump will be president, again
Well this one’s aleady confirmed. In a season 11 episode called Bart To The Future, The Simpsons actually predicted that Donald Trump would become president. It aired in 2000, when he was just a wealthy businessman, so the idea seemed pretty far-fetched at the time. Now, he’s about to begin his second term, so the cartoon actually predicted it right twice.
