From Drake to Kylie Jenner: Here’s who racked up the biggest private jet emissions in 2024
Sorry but where do they all have to be?!
Well, it’s that time of year when we all get reminded that despite how sustainable we’ve tried to be in 2024 the outrageously high emissions produced by private jets will be our downfall.
From Drake to Kim Kardashian, it seems literally every single person in Hollywood has their own plane because god forbid they have to share a public space with anyone else. And they’ve certainly been making a lot of journeys on their private jets, with one country singer making over 600 flights in just one year?! And no I have no idea how that’s even possible.
For context most of us will produce 4.5 metric tons of CO2 per year just living our lives, so make sure to take that relatively minicule number into consideration when reading these horrifying stats!
1. Donald Trump
CO2 emissions – 27,785 metric tons
First up with over 27,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions produced by his private jet is Donald Trump who took 408 flights in 2024, with over 35 days being spent in the air.
Donald produced almost three times more CO2 than the next biggest producing celebrity and travelled over 300,000 miles.
2. Travis Scott
CO2 emissions – 10,319 metric tons
Next is musician and father to Kylie Jenner’s children Travis Scott whose private jet produced over 10,000 metric tons of CO2, taking a total of 293 flights and having a total flight time of over 42 days.
3. Eric Schmidt
CO2 emissions – 7,106 metric tons
Eric Schmidt is a former technology executive who worked with the likes of Google and is absolutely minted.

He made almost 500 flights in 2024 with over 7,000 metric tons of CO2 being produced from 612,000 miles flown. In fact, out of everyone Eric travelled the most on his jet, this man clearly has places to be.
4. P Diddy
CO2 emissions – 5,154 metric tons
P Diddy took 308 flights in his private jet during the first half of this year and produced just over 5,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
5. Elon Musk (plane number one)
CO2 emissions – 5,105 metric tons
Literally just behind P Diddy in terms of emissions is Elon Musk who took 320 flights in one of his two planes and travelled for a total of just over 42 days.
6. Kim Kardashian
CO2 emissions – 4,701 metric tons
Kim Kardashian leads the sisters for producing the most amount of emissions from her private jet and taking a whopping total of 236 flights and a total distance flown of almost 240,000 miles.
7. Jay Z
CO2 emissions – 4,594 metric tons
Singer Jay Z comes in seventh place, producing just over 100 metric tons less than Kim Kardashian, however, he did take more flights than her at 291 with a distance of 286,000 miles covered.
8. Kylie Jenner
CO2 emissions – 4,170 metric tons
Kylie Jenner is just behind her older sister in terms of the amount of emissions she produced from her private jet in 2024, emitting just over 4,000 metric tons of CO2.
9. Bill Gates (plane number one)
CO2 emissions – 3,818 metric tons
Bill Gates also has multiple planes, taking 216 flights on just one of his planes and travelling over 359,000 miles.
10. Drake
CO2 emissions – 3,437 metric tons
Rapper Drake made 116 trips on his private jet, producing a total of 3,347 metric tons of CO2 emissions but somehow used over 1,000,000 gallons of fuel.
In contrast, Travis Scott produced over three times the amount of emissions than Drake but used almost 300,000 fewer gallons of fuel. Make it make sense.
11. Michael Bloomberg (plane number one)
CO2 emissions – 3,423 metric tons
Michael Bloomberg spends a lot of time talking about climate change but managed to rack up over 3,000 metric tons of emissions in one of his many jets across 306 flights.
12. Luke Bryan
CO2 emissions – 3,373 metric tons
I won’t lie when I think of country music artists I don’t think of them producing insanely large amounts of emissions but here we go, Luke Bryan has proven me wrong.
Luke took almost 650 flights in just 2024 alone, which I’m pinning down to his world tour, and travelled a whopping 373,000 miles. That’s almost two a day, absolute madness.
13. Mark Zuckerberg
CO2 emissions – 3,332 metric tons
Mark Zuckerburg might be busy doing very rogue rap collaborations in 2024 but that doesn’t stop him from producing a hefty amount of emissions from his private jet, emitting just over 3,000 metric tons.
14. Steve Ballmer
CO2 emissions – 2,996 metric tons
Steve Ballmer is the current CEO of Microsoft and whilst they may have made the Flight Simulator games, Steve obviously just owns his real life own private jet. He made a total of 229 individual flights and travelled over 250,000 miles in 2024.
15. Steve Wynn
CO2 emissions – 2,978 metric tons
Finally coming in at 15th place is Steve Wynn, who is the founder of Wynn Resorts in America. In other words, he’s got cash to splash. Steve produced just under 3,000 metric tons of CO2 in 2024 and travelled over 183,000 miles in 381 flights.
