Awkward! Dean’s mum demands stern words with Ant over his I’m A Celeb treatment
She thinks he’s been pretty harsh
People are convinced Ant hates Dean on I’m A Celeb, and the Radio 1 DJ’s mum now wants to have words with the TV host.
Dean has become this year’s jungle villain, with many claiming he’s being overly dramatic on purpose for attention and screen time.
However, after arriving in Australia to support her son, Ann insisted “there is nothing false about him”.

“We are seeing the real Dean, he is just being himself….he just gets on with it,” she told The Mirror. “And that’s what I said to him: ‘Have fun and be yourself’.”
She went on to say that Ant has been too harsh on the 32-year-old and she’s going to have a word with him about it.
“I think Ant’s been a wee bit hard on him. I’m gonna have to have a wee word with Ant about that, maybe later.”
“He has been game for anything. He’s just been himself, and we’re all so, so proud,” Ann added.

Ant was annoyed at Dean’s poor performance when he was repeatedly voted to do the trials and said “I’m a celebrity get me out of here” twice.
On the after-show, the TV host said: “What the bloody hell? He only gets four stars and [his campmates] pamper him. It’s not good, is it? He literally got four out of 10.”
“My annoyance came across on screen and I was quite unprofessional. You get to the point where you’re like, ‘What are you doing?'”

Ant was also pretty savage during the trials, telling Dean there was a snake on his head when he specifically asked not to know.
