The first week of I’m A Celeb has finished and Dean McCullough is quickly becoming this year’s biggest villain.

People find his jarring, fame-hungry personality quite annoying and think he’s being dramatic on purpose to get air time.

However, it’s not only his general irritating character throughout the episodes that’s grinding people’s gears.

Refusing to give Richard his bed

The moment that really topped off everyone’s hatred for the DJ was when he refused to give up his bed for Richard. It was the reverend’s first night in the main camp and everyone agreed that he shouldn’t be sleeping on a hammock at the age of 62. However, Dean didn’t even consider giving up his bed.

Ruining the challenge for Maura and Richard

Keeping on the same theme, Dean also ruined the whole secret challenge for Maura and Richard. They were doing pretty well pretending they were living in horrible conditions until Dean showed up and literally gave the whole thing away with his terrible acting and constant dramatics.

Being mean to Alan for no reason

Dean also made a lot of new enemies when he had a go at Alan for no reason. The Corrie actor tried to wake him up to go and collect the wood but Dean wasn’t waking, so he said “You don’t fancy it, no?” and did the job by himself. Dean then had the audacity to give Alan a lecture about not giving him enough time to respond.

Telling Danny to sleep with the rats

Back to the bed situation. On the same night, the 32-year-old also asked Danny to take a specific bed that was closer to the rats because he didn’t want to sleep near the rodents. People thought it was pretty rude. Why should Danny have to sleep next to the rats just because you don’t want to?!

Taking credit for doing nothing in the trials

Dean has now done five bushtucker trials and in every duo one, he has taken credit for doing literally nothing. He returned back to camp really happy despite Danny being the one who got most of the stars and wanted everyone to sing his praises for finding a few spanners in some fish guts when Coleen was in a coffin of critters.
