Love Island Australia just launched Hotel Amor – the wildest twist any villa has ever had
Need this in the UK series NOW
Love Island Australia is already one of the most wild franchises of the show, but it just started a new twist called Hotel Amor. Honestly guys, any tricks the UK producers have ever played just became very, very tame.
The new part of the show has been called the “biggest twist in history” and for once, this actually sounds like it might be. Channel Nine has explained the shock that’s playing out right now, as the Islanders check out of the villa and into Hotel Amor. This is designed to “test their relationships like never before.” Think the UK’s Casa Amor, but times a million.
So, what is Hotel Amor and how has it played out for the Love Island Australia Islanders?
Hotel Amor is a completely new concept, being used for the first time on Love Island Australia. It tests tough love and the Islanders’ loyalty, as they’re sent away for a private night with someone who’s not their partner.
Viewers of the show were able to match who went on the retreat with who, and be at the forefront of the drama before it went down. The Islanders were then whisked away to a luxurious hotel. There, they had a very romantic experience of spa days, drinks, food and intimate rooms.
In a further huge twist, for one night at the retreat, the show’s cameras were switched off. This meant the new couples could do whatever they wanted, with no risk of it coming out. CHAOS.

Host Sophie Monk said of the twist: “It is sending them away for a night, not with their partners but with a different person. It created so much drama. But also, they get out there and [get things] off their chest and so it’s very entertaining to watch. I think it’s even better than Casa Amor.”
Speaking to the Islanders themselves, she said: “You are about to take part in something that has never been done anywhere in the world on Love Island. You will all be leaving the villa… come and collect the key to the private retreat!”
