Iconic guest judges and an insane prize, Glen Powell’s lookalike competition was the best yet

I won’t lie, I feel as though I’ve developed some serious celebrity lookalike competition fatigue in recent weeks, but of course, Glen Powell’s one has pulled me right back in.

In comparison to the ones that have come before it simply blows them out of the water and feels like the first one where a celebrity has actually got personally involved and I’m beyond obsessed.

Right, so let’s break down exactly what made Glen Powell’s lookalike competition the best of the best as well as who won and what their sensational prize was that I’m incredibly envious of.

Let’s be honest half of the time it’s up to the mercy of the crowd to see who actually wins these competitions, but Glen truly bought in the big guns to judge the lookalikes and it’s safe to say these judges know Glen better than anyone.

Very adorably both Glen’s actual mum and aunt both attended the competition to make sure the winner was only of the highest calibre. I feel like she must have had a moment contemplating how her life got to the moment where she’s judging the lookalikes of her son.

Whilst Glen wasn’t able to show up to the competition, which took place in Texas, as he was filming across the world in Glasgow he did send a video of himself.

He explained in the video: “I’ve assembled you all for an important mission. I want to pull off a heist. And we won’t need masks because we’ll all have the same face, it’s the perfect crime. They can’t get all of us because we are one. A criminal glenterprise.

“Also I know it’s November but if no one is shirtless for no reason then this whole thing is a sham and obviously nobody is committed to the bit. Anyway, I wish I could be there in person but right now I’m shooting overseas, or am I? Look to your left, look to your right, I could be anywhere.”

Glen went on to announce the extra special prize, revealing: “I know there is some cash and a hat at stake here, but I just want to say that the winner of today’s contest gets a personal prize from me.

“Now you may know that my parents make a cameo in every movie I make but today, the winner of the Glen Powell lookalike contest wins their parents, or any family member of their choice, a cameo in my next movie.”

He added he was “completely serious” about the cameo offer, and added he estimated it had “a cash value prize of six billion dollars.” Definitely an accurate number…

The winner not only got a cheque for “some money” signed by both Brisket and Glen but also got to FaceTime the actor after the competition finished?! Sorry, but I would actually pass out.
