Mike Tyson ’embarrassed’ after Jake Paul fight but ‘grateful’ he didn’t do one thing

Jake Paul previously said he would knock him out in the ring

Mike Tyson is reportedly in “rough shape” after his boxing fight with Jake Paul in Texas on Friday. The two fought it out at a match streamed by Netflix on 15th November with over 60 million people watching from home. Jake Paul emerged victorious, winning by unanimous decision, but he’d previously said he would knock out retired professional boxer Mike Tyson. A source told the Daily Mail he was glad to still be alive after the fight.

Although Jake Paul has only been boxing professionally for four years, he has already established a huge name for himself in the community. Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source close to Mike claimed he was “so thankful” that Jake did not “kill him” as he had previously said he was going to.

“Mike looked at this as the end of his boxing career because it is. He is in rough shape and was slightly embarrassed, but he also knows that, despite his win claim, he lost,” said the source.

Mike Tyson took home an estimated $20 million from the fight with Jake, but that didn’t change the fact that he lost to the 27 year old former Disney Channel star.

“He is throwing in the towel. He was really hoping that he could end his career with a win but in the end, it was a win because he was paid millions. This is going right to his retirement fund,” the source continued.

Jake has also responded to claims he was “holding back” against Mike in fear of “hurting” him. Many have claimed on X that Jake was going easy on him, including professional boxer Tony Bellew who had many thoughts about the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight.

Tony wrote:  “I don’t like this stupid idiot kid but I will say this… He stopped beating Mike there and showed him some respect and dignity by letting him survive! He didn’t go for the KO there he stepped off him and let him be… Mike we all adore you king, you’re a superhero to all of us from the proper fight business!”
