People on X are claiming they’ve found a moment in the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight that proves it was staged. A huge fan theory has been circulating online that Jake signalled to Mike to take it easy on him during the fight that took place on 15th November.

In the said clip, Mike Tyson landed a chin shot on Jake, and he reacted to the punch by sticking out his tongue and taunting Mike back like the punch didn’t bother him. It’s a bit of a signature move that Jake has done in previous fights, and even outside of the boxing ring. Likely, it was just Jake doing his move for the cameras, but it hasn’t stopped people from speculating online.

However, people online are theorising that in this case, Jake was actually signalling for Mike to “take it easy” on him.

27 year old Jake Paul won the fight against 58 year old Mike Tyson that was streamed on Friday night on Netflix. Mike Tyson only got in 18 punches next to Jake’s 78. Later at the press conference, Jake said he held back against Tyson because he “didn’t wanna hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.” Theorists are using the baseless claim to suggest it’s why it looked like Paul “took it easy” on Jake instead.

Many people were surprised the fight was even allowed to go ahead after it was delayed in June when Tyson was hit with an ulcer flareup on a flight. Last week, Tyson claimed he nearly died on that plane and ultimately had eight blood transfusions as he recovered from the incident. Therefore, it was no surprise Jake won, but that hasn’t stopped fans from theorising about the match being fixed.
