The experts flopped! A definitive roundup of the most mismatched MAFS UK couples ever
What on EARTH were they thinking!?
Married at First Sight UK prides itself on matching couples it claims to truly believe are soulmates, a bunch of MAFS brides and grooms geared up to say yes to stranger and go through the experiment. But let’s face it, watch any singular episode of MAFS UK and you will see some of the most mismatched couples on TV – truly the kind so bad it leaves you wondering how the hell we ended up here? With the 2024 season of MAFS UK having some of the most mismatched couples yet, here’s a rundown of the worst pairings that were just never going to work.
Luke and Morag
Utterly 0 chemistry at all. Morag never liked Luke, and it was easy to see from the start. We still had to endure a whole season of watching them “work” on something that obviously could not be worked on. They split up.
Nikita and Ant
Nikita just wanted to be on TV, and she was amazing at it. A bit too volatile, and got removed from the experiment which meant Ant had to go with her. Ant came back in with Alexis but that flopped too – the bizarre pairing of this major clash of personality however was just one of the weirdest pairings in MAFS history.
Whitney and Duka
Whitney decided on their wedding day that she hated Duka (who was lovely) and that was just that. Nothing could be sorted. She ended up cheating on him with Matt. Awful vibes.
Thomas and Adrian
Most Read
They had the most ups and downs of anyone as they powered through, but fundamentally Adrian and Thomas were mismatched. Even if there was some form of friendship from week to week, it never was romantic – and neither of them were what the other was after. So why did the experts put them together?
Georges and Peggy
One of the most mismatched couples to ever grace MAFS UK, Peggy and Georges got off on a bad foot and then never even made the situation properly romantic. Did she ever like him? Who could even say. They wasted their time, they wasted our time. A complete clash of humour, vibes and ideologies.
Ella and Nathanial
One great wedding day does not a good couple make. A disaster honeymoon and clearly a pairing who wanted different things from the experiment. Weird vibes, and Nathanial was clearly not romantically invested in Ella at all. Which made it all the weirder when he kicked off so hard about the JJ situation.
JJ and Bianca
See above. Why did the show not just pair JJ and Ella? They were clearly what the other was looking for. It wasn’t fair on Bianca to have to go through it all.
Eve and Charlie
What. A. Mess. Awful lying, awful pairing of people with completely different attachment styles and methods of communicating. Just got toxic so fast it was uncomfortable to watch.
Adam and Polly
Stop making women endure men not being into them and then having to spend the time convincing said man that they’re worthy! Stop it now!
