A Justice of the UK’s Supreme Court is set to deliver a lecture at Wrexham University.
The Right Honourable Lord Lloyd-Jones is set to give a lecture at Wrexham University on Friday, November 8th at 2pm to discuss the intricacies of judicial decision-making in appeal courts.
The lecture will be taking place in the Nick Whitehead Theatre at the university.
His lecture, “The Judgment of the Court”, is being supported by the university’s Cyril Oswald Jones Law Bursary, which was set up by the late Francis Glynne-Jones in 2022 to honour his brother, grandfather and father who had all been former Presidents of the Chester and North Wales Law Society.

Speaking with Wrexham.com, Lord Lloyd-Jones said: “It is a privilege to have been invited to give a lecture at Wrexham University, as part of their series of Cyril Oswald Jones Law Lectures, and I greatly look forward to my visit to the university.”
Lord Lloyd-Jones is a Welsh speaker from Pontypridd and a legal scholar, who became the first Welsh Justice of the Supreme Court in 2017. He is also known for his roles as the President of the Law Council of Wales, working to further legal education and development in the country.
Dylan Rhys Jones, the Head of Law and senior lecturer at Wrexham University said: “We are delighted that the Right Hon Lord Lloyd-Jones will be giving a lecture, here at the University.”
