Ouch! Biting things ex Love Island 2024 cast have said about being booted off the show
Patsy felt like ‘spare parts’ on this year’s show
So many of the Islanders get eliminated, and it’s often a struggle to stay safe from the public’s scathing vote. Like clockwork every year, somebody will be unfairly voted out and Twitter will be in uproar – we’ve seen this more often than not this year. The 2024 Love Island booted contestants had a lot to say about their time on the show, and not much of it was positive.
With so many twists to this year’s show, here’s a list of all the most biting quotes Love Island contestants have said after being dumped from the show:
Patsy
Patsy opened up about her short but tough time on the show, feeling like a “spare part” and not really gelling with anyone in the villa. She said: “It was really hard. When you have a crush on someone you get that excitement and I didn’t have that. There was no spark with anyone that made it like, really exciting.”
She continued, explaining the loneliness she felt: “But really, I was just in there kind of like a spare part. It was like, ‘Oh, OK, so now What should I do today?’ So it was difficult.”

Patsy went on to describe how staged a lot of the conversations are: “So, if I saw someone across the villa and wanted to go for a chat, I would head over and as soon as my bum touched the seat next to them, the voice of god would call you to the beach hut. And after, you go and chat to them again and then they’d be like, ‘No’. Obviously they’ve got situations in their heads that they want with certain people, and those conversations don’t fit the narrative.” Why do I actually feel bad for her now?!
Harry
When asked about how it felt to be out of the villa, Harry said: “It feels fresh as I wasn’t there for a long time!” He also went on to call his time “Short and sweet.” Okay Sabrina Carpenter.
In his exit interview, he wouldn’t stop talking about Grace despite being coupled with Lola DeLuca and not finding a reciprocated connection with Grace anyway. Somebody may be a little butthurt!
Lola
Lola seemed to be as equally disappointed as Harry was, even though they left together. She said: “I’m a bit gutted to be leaving but I met the most incredible people there so I’m grateful for the experience. It’s a bittersweet feeling but I’m so happy I got the experience.” Which is a fair enough comment.
What seemed to turn heads was her following statement: “Initially, I had my eye on Joey as he is my usual type but my chats with Rueben were much better, which is why I made my decision to steal him.” She definitely knew how to ruffle some feathers.
She continued: “I was attracted to Rueben and based on the conversations we had we got on really well, but as the days went on we realised it was more on a friendship level. Harry is my usual type, I feel like we will continue to get to know one another but we will see what happens so watch this space.” So it’s safe to assume we will never hear news about her and Harry again.
Reuben
One of the more recent Love Island 2024 booted contestants, Reuben was very vocal about his disagreement with the reasoning for his dumping, along with partner Grace Jackson. He said: “In terms of the public opinion, I had a suspicion they might feel that way because we’re a new couple and also because of the distance. I personally disagree with it. We were around each other 24/7 in there!”
Harriett
In all honesty, Harriett leaving was such a sad moment. Harriett quickly became a Love Island 2024 favourite, booted from the show too soon. Even she admitted: “I feel sad to go. I felt that my experience in the villa wasn’t over yet. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, so if they think me and Ronnie should have gone, what can you do?” I just know she’s gonna be killing it outside of villa life.
Ronnie
Ronnie was a little less graceful than his partner: “I know that I went into the villa just being me so I know I can walk out with my head held high. I wanted to stay a bit longer, but obviously my time was up. I felt like I was a good Islander and I did everything that I really wanted to do. I had the best time. There’s no complaints from me.” At least the couple found each other, and isn’t that like the whole point of the show?
