Uh oh! The MAFS Australia cast are ‘furious’ they’ve not left the show with a fanbase

Most of the cast have not gained enough followers to become influencers full-time

Yikes – the Married at First Sight Australia cast are said to be ‘furious’ after they’ve been on MAFS and ‘failed to build a fanbase’, with their hopes and dreams of coming off the experiment to becoming influencers.

The MAFS Australia cast are said to be scrambling for money after quitting their day jobs and not earning much of a daily rate on the show, whilst also not even nearly building up enough of a following on their socials off the show to commit to full time influencer life.

The most followed cast member and the only one to majorly win people over is Lucinda, who has 138,000 followers. In second place is Lauren with 67K, so Lucinda has really far and away become the most popular. Woefully, the least popular is Madeleine with an abysmal 1200 follower count at the time of publication.

It’s all a huge contrast to the likes of big MAFS Australia names like Ella Ding who has 500,000 followers now, and Martha Kalifatidis has over 700K.

A source told Yahoo Lifestyle that many of the MAFS Australia cast are “furious” about the fact they haven’t built up a following, because they were counting on it to make money after the end of the show.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the cast member said brides and grooms were paid $150 a day and given a $125 food allowance.

“I am broke after having appeared on the show. I couldn’t even make my rent payments with what we were being paid,” the anonymous cast member said.

“We would film late so I would be ordering takeaway most nights. I spent a bomb on outfits, hair and make-up, and to top it off, they didn’t even let us wear what we wanted.”
