Why there’s nowhere in the world quite like Ramore

What better way is there to spend a Saturday night than going “Ramoring”? Many of us have tried it once and never looked back – it’s a way of life now.

We all wake up on a Sunday morning and wonder why there aren’t more restaurants like the Ramore. So why haven’t other places copied the Ramore’s model?

The food is fantastic

The Ramore has incredible food. With five restaurants, there are different themes to explore and taste – Asian, Italian, fine dining and wood fire grilled (this makes choosing which restaurant to eat in impossible).

Not only is the range of food excellent, it’s a bargain. You can go out with £10 and get a gourmet burger and dressed fries and come back with a few pounds in your pocket. Signature dishes include bang bang chicken, chilli beef pittas, chilli chicken penne pasta, and fillet steak wellington.

The Ramore is truly unique in how many different options of excellent food it offers, how cheap the food actually is and how quickly the food is served. Who cares that you have to wait ages to get a table. What’s not to love?

The self-service is surprisingly brilliant

Let’s face it, on our first time we were all offended and disgusted that we had to go up to the bar to order ourselves and bring our own drinks and cutlery down. Imagine!

However that didn’t deter any of us from going back. Now it’s part and parcel of the Ramore – while being seated we are pretentiously asked “Have you been here before? Do you know how we work?”

When you think about it, self-service saves a lot of time and confusion, plus it gives you a chance to bump into literally anybody you know for a catch up/awkward small talk. Going into a restaurant and being served is now an unnecessary experience.

Cocktails, dessert, cocktails, dessert

Who can resist the enormous cocktail list and overflowing dessert cabinet? Pictures of daiquiris, mojitos and brambles very often pop up on social media alongside strawboffee, salted caramel tortes and chocolate brownies.

All the best nights on the North Coast start at the Ramore with an intake of their famous cocktails and Snapchats of the delicious desserts.

The Harbour Bar is incredible

The Harbour Bar in the Ramore is probably one of the busiest bars in Britain. No matter if it’s a Wednesday night or a Sunday night, you know that the atmosphere inside will be brilliant.

You can always rely on Willie (the barman) to be entertaining crowds of people, and accompanying the atmosphere there’s live music from the best local talent.

Going out for dinner to the Ramore usually ends with a trip to the Harbour Bar, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

We all love Ramoring. It’s a hobby for students, parents, grandparents, even children (my four-year-old sister actually uses the verb actively).

Who could refuse a mammoth-sized lasagne for a fiver, a delicious Sunday roast for a tenner or a basket of hot Buffalo wings for 99p?
