‘Lord Coke’ is Durham grad and his wife is university secretary

Today Ex-Durham graduate and Labour peer John Sewel resigned from his position as Lord’s deputy speaker – on the same day his wife’s profile has disappeared from our university website.

Jennifer Sewel was listed as University Secretary, but a link to her profile is now a dead end.

In a Sun video, Durham grad John Sewel appears to turn over a picture of his wife while snorting white powder in his Pimlico flat.

Later he snorts the same white powder off a woman’s breasts with a rolled up fiver. He now faces a police inquiry.

A spokesperson from Durham said: “This is a personal matter and it would not be appropriate for the university to comment.”
