A horse has escaped from its transport and is now roaming the streets of Durham.
Police have undertaken a desperate search for the strayed steed which has been described by a frantic constable as a white stallion.
The copper said: “A white stallion is on the run from Whinney Hill (not a joke), we think its gone down Church Street or is around the science site.”
He added the horse was “loose and dangerous”.
