Hippies crowdfund castle to house refugees

A group of presumably vegan students have embarked on a crowd-funding campaign to buy a castle to house refugees. 

The team who run the Shared Planet cafe are hoping to raise six million pounds to house refugees and asylum seekers.

So far they have raised over £3500 or 0.05 per cent for their cause.

The group say: “If we get the castle you will be able to come for a visit and experience the unique atmosphere of a left-wing radical community living in a gentrified commune called Comrades of the Glen.”

They add: “If this particular castle is sold and we reach our goal we will look for another castle.”

The Shared Planet team admit: “We’ve never bought a house before so this is all new to us.

“But we’re a bunch of students with social science degrees so how hard can it be really.

“The real risk is us NOT getting the castle as refugees will continue not having a castle to stay in as well as us resorting to less worthy projects to change the world.

Donation packages vary from one pound, which earns you “undying gratitude”, 20 quid which amounts “a pheasant named after you” and £20,000 which lets you spend your wedding and honeymoon in the castle.
