Brookes society set for success
Nominated for the NUS awards Society of the Year.
Fresh from their win at the Brookes’ Society Awards, the Non-League Football Society has been nominated for the Society of the Year award at national NUS Awards.
The boys behind the society, which counts Clubber Steve as part of its committee, are Brookes’ only representation in July’s NUS Awards.
The Non-League Football Society is up against Bangor’s Nightline, Robert Gordon University’s IPE Society, Sussex’s Free Wheelers and the Manchester Post Economic Crash Society. I think we can safely say that we might have the upper hand if the vote goes to penalties.
Speaking exclusively to The Tab President Joe Parton described himself as “speechless”. The nomination follows on from their mention on BBC Radio 5 Live a couple of months ago.
Joe said “This is the second bit of national recognition we’ve had in our first year so we must be doing something right! To get singled out from thousands of other societies is just phenomenal.”
