Man shot with crossbow on Lisburn Road
29 year old man treated for non-life threatening injuries after being attacked with a crossbow in a popular student location.
The Lisburn Road is a popular area for QUB students.
The victim was sitting in a parked car on Belgravia Avenue when he was shot in the arm with an arrow from a crossbow. The attack happened at around 5.20pm on Wednesday.
He was transported to hospital where it was discovered that the injuries were not life threatening.
A 29 year old woman was also present in the vehicle but was not injured.
The attack took place on Belgravia Avenue.
A 28 year old man was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder alongside a string of other offences, and is still in custody.
A crossbow – the weapon used.
Detectives have asked witnesses to call CID in Musgrave Police Student on the non-emergency number 101.
