Police barged into the property to seize speakers – but left with more than just sound equipment.
On arrival police suspected drug use, and searched the house where they then uncovered suspected cocaine, drugs paraphernalia and a hefty stash of cash.
The police to arrested the men, two uni students aged 22 and 24, and later a 27 year-old not known to be associated with the university.

Chair of Safe Newcastle, Councillor Linda Hobson, said:
“I am relieved that with the police, our officers have managed to prevent this stash making its way onto the streets of Newcastle”.
The university has been informed and will pursue its own disciplinary procedures.
All three have been bailed pending further enquiries.
