Fylde College to host Uni Mental Health Event

The event will take place Wednesday 15th March


Fylde College will be hosting a Uni Mental Health Event on Wednesday 15th March from 1-5pm as a fundraiser for Samaritans.

The event will take place in Fylde Courtyard and the Bonington Steps, and is open to people from all colleges.

From 1-5pm there will be food stalls, giant games of Swingball and Connect 4, and a photographer.

The jam-packed schedule also includes:

  • Alpacas from 1-3pm
  • Sports day events from 2-3pm
  • Mini zoo from 2-4pm
  • Open bar sports from 3-4pm, where the darts and pool tables in Fylde bar will be free to use for the hour
  • Sponge throw from 4-4:30pm where, for a minimum donation of 50p or a donation to the JustGiving page, you will get to throw sponges at members of the Fylde JCR.

Various societies and clubs will also be present at the event, including Swing Dance from 1-1:50pm, Magic and Circus from 2-2:50pm, Yoga from 3-3:50pm, and LUBDS (ballroom dancing) from 4-4:50pm. In attendance will also be Nightline, the Disability Forum, the LGBTQ+ Forum, and Senet.

Donations can be made via JustGiving, or in cash at the event.
