Cardiff Uni will take on St Andrews head to head

Cardiff University is set to appear in their first match of the 54th series of University Challenge on October 21st  on BBC TWO at 8:30pm, against St Andrews.

For those who aren’t bona fide geniuses like the Quiz Society, the University Challenge is one of the UK’s toughest quizzes putting the knowledge of students across the nation to the test.

28 teams will battle it out for the title of “Series Champions” and, of course, that big, shiny trophy.

The teams will tackle questions from all aspects of knowledge including human thought, achievement and culture from around the world.

Amol Rajan, the show’s host best known for his role in BBC Question Time spoke about what to expect from the show. He said, “It’s been a summer of great competition on our screens, with high drama, tense finishes and shining talent. And the thrilling new series of University Challenge continues in that vein. The standards are high, the students are magnificent, and the starters for 10 as addictive as ever. Please join us!”
