Sorry to break it to you, but these 20 unis officially have the most stressed students
Students in Scotland need lots of bubble baths and yoga
It’s no wonder that so many students at UK unis are stressed in 2024. Not only do you have to learn how to feed yourself things other than pot noodles, land a top tier grad job in the UK and avoid your first year flatmates in every nightclub, but you have to find the time somewhere to actually do a degree. Horrifying.
However, not all UK unis have equally stressed students. The hemp company BrownsCBD has researched the UK unis that students are most likely to find stressful in 2024.
BrownsCBD assigned a “stress score” to each UK uni by combining how anxious students said they were in the most recent Office of National Statistics Survey with how the average cost of living in that area.
The only Russell Group uni to make it onto this list is the University of Cambridge. Funnily enough, writing ten essays a day can impact your mental health.
Thee University of the West of Scotland is officially the most stressful out of all the UK unis in 2024. This uni received such a high stress score because it had so many negative reviews on Student Crowd.
Close behind it was the University of Sussex and London Metropolitan University. The high cost of living in both Brighton and London are likely to be very stressful for broke uni students.
