Graziano forced to return to his minimum wage farm job after being sacked from Strictly
He’s now making £6 per hour and ‘living next to cows’
After fleeing the UK to return to Sicily, Graziano Di Prima has been forced to return to his previous minimum wage farm job after being sacked from Strictly. The former Strictly professional was fired from the show for gross misconduct, following accusations he kicked, hit and spat at his dancing partner Zara McDermott during rehearsals. A third Strictly pro has also been named “a person of interest” as the investigation continues.
Graziano has since moved back to Sicily with his wife Giada in a move to try and ignore the “noise” created by both the accusations and his sudden departure from Strictly. He’s taken quite a pay cut as well, going from making around £30-50,000 per year as a Strictly professional to just £6 an hour working on a farm. According to The Sun, he feels as though he’s “lost everything” and is “literally living next to some cows” in an “astonishing fall from grace.”
According to The Daily Mail, Graziano “has taken a job on a farm, ploughing fields, living with cows and picking grapes.” His friend explained: “Graziano has gone back to basics working on the land. He’s totally alone in the field digging ditches and clearing wood, a standard practice to prevent fires, working for a minimal sum but it’s not about the money. Manual labour is what he grew up doing since he was eight years old. It’s about keeping his mind active and a distraction technique from the toxic fallout of his departure from Strictly.”

They continued: “He’s been told to concentrate on his mental health, as he is in a bad place. There’s a real push for him to eat healthily and sleep well, he really needs to knuckle down and think of himself right now. Who knows what the future will hold, hopefully, it can still be in dance as that’s what his body is built for – it’s all he knows. But for now, Strictly is firmly at the back of his mind. He accepts that he will never grace the Strictly dance floor again. He has lost everything.”
Apparently the Strictly pro has also cut himself off from the outside world and refuses to speak to anyone other than his mother Giovanna and wife Giada. He’s reportedly making an effort not to engage in anything that’s being said on social media and is instead focusing on “getting his head straight” after being in a “bad place.”
