Right, here’s what the results of TikTok’s moon phase compatibility test actually mean

There’s nothing like a TikTok trend to make us peg our entire romantic future onto a silly little filter. And the latest one sending everyone into a really delulu frame of mind is the moon phase compatibility test, which determines if you’re meant to be with someone based on what the moon looked like on the day you were born.

To do the test, all you have to do is put your day, month, and year of birth into the Moon Phase Test filter on TikTok alongside your partner/situationship/best friend, sister’s birthday and it’ll show you how your moons slot together. Originally, everybody thought you just wanted to try and create as full of a moon as possible to be compatible. But it turns out there’s much more to it than that. Like, you might not be doomed after all.

So, what exactly do the results of the TikTok’s moon phase compatibility test really mean?

Okay so, after everyone started to go into a tail spin because their moon didn’t make a full planet with the love of their live’s, an “evolutionary astrologer” @auravibin made a video explaining all the different types of moon phases you could get and what they actually mean. Some good, some bad. Here’s what she said:

Same moon phases 

“Twin flames – you’re learning the same lessons together”. Aka, things might not be perfect but you’ve got a LOT of similarities are are growing at the same time, which is quite cute tbh.

Opposite moon phases 

“Temporary soulmates – you’re on different paths”. Aka, this is not built to last and you should probably stop doing compatibility tests asap, tbh.

Opposite quarter moon phases 

“You teach each other balance and bring new perspectives to light”. Aka, this is probs the most harmonious match you could have. Peace? Never heard of her. Yet, these two moon phases have it.

The ‘completing each other’ moon phase 

“You both have very different energy. You have opposite strength and weaknesses”. Aka, you’re whole. Look at you go. Basically, the blueprint for what everybody wants.

Opposite moon phases darkened 

“You are both learning the same internal lessons through different lenses”. Aka, this looks like it should be a car crash. That black hole? Ominous. But maybe you’re actually just going through it together x

Totally different phases 

“You are both on separate paths and find it difficult to relate to one another. By accepting your differences you can thrive”. Aka, you’re doomed.
