Alyssa denies claims she is in a relationship with her MAFS Australia co-star Josh White
She has insisted they are just ‘good friends’
Married at First Sight Australia bride Alyssa Barmonde has shut down rumours that she and groom Josh White are in a relationship, confirming they are just “good friends”.
It was reported that MAFS Australia stars Alyssa and Josh had struck up a romance after being spotted on what looked like a “double date” with co-stars Tahnee and Ollie.
Alyssa has since denied these claims. “We are not dating,” the former bride told So Dramatic!, adding she and Josh are “good friends”.
Josh also had something to say on the claims, pointing out a doctored image. Under a post in a MAFS Australia gossip page, Josh commented: “Rather than discuss the content, can we just appreciate the photoshopped image that [journalist] has used, which is sending me.”
The photo appeared to look as though Alyssa and Josh were photographed together however, the original photo shows Tahnee and Ollie in the middle of them.
Alyssa was originally matched with Duncan on the series but their relationship ended at the final vows. Josh was originally with Melissa however they ended up being the first couple to leave the experiment.
In the original story, a source claimed Alyssa and Josh had decided to “see where things take them” after MAFS Australia. “They’re both very sweet and I really do hope they work out, they’re a match. Josh was convinced he was going to be matched with Alyssa [on MAFS Australia] when Daily Mail leaked the cast photo last year,” the source continued.
