McDonald’s
Fast-food chain McDonald’s have announced all of their UK restaurants will be closed on Monday until 5pm “to allow everyone at McDonald’s to pay their respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
Greggs
Another one of the popular takeaways that has announced it will be closing for the Queen’s funeral is Greggs. To allow for its colleagues to “pay their respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II”, Greggs shops will be closed for her funeral. Some shops, operated by its franchise partners, may still remain open.
Costa Coffee
Costa Coffee has announced all their stores will be closed on Monday 19th September. Some stores which are operated by its partners may remain open and all Costa Express machines will remain on in retailers that stay open.
Starbucks
To allow for its employees to pay their respects to the late monarch, Starbucks has announced it will be closing “all company owned” Starbucks stores in the UK from 11am to 2pm for the Queen’s funeral.
Domino’s Pizza
Domino’s has confirmed its stores will be closed on Monday morning. However, from 12pm all Domino’s stores will reopen after the ceremony has finished.
Pizza Hut
Another Pizza chain that has announced a change in opening times in Pizza Hut. In response to a question on Twitter, Pizza Hut confirmed its restaurants will be opening later than usual at 2pm on Monday 19th September. The later opening time is to allow for Pizza Hut teams to “join the nation in honouring Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her funeral”.
