RuPaul’s Drag Race star Kori King has just spilled the tea on his Cameo earnings, and let’s just say, it’s enough to make your jaw drop. Yep, we’re talking six figures, honey. Turns out, sending personalised shoutouts isn’t just a cute side hustle, it’s a serious money-maker for this drag superstar.
Kori King reveals six figures he makes on Cameo
RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Kori King from season 17 sat down with Trinity The Tuck and Shontelle Sparkles this September. And, he literally left the show’s co-hosts in total shock when he revealed just how much he makes from Cameo. The platform is the place to go for people who want to purchase personalised video messages from their favourite celebrities.
It turns out that Kori isn’t just serving looks on the RuPaul’s Drag Race stage, he’s also cashing in big time online. The drag star dished that he makes a six-figure income from Cameo. What started as a fun way to connect with supporters has quickly turned into a lucrative side hustle, proving that drag can be both fabulous and financially rewarding.
He said during the Lip Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown weekend, he felt he wasn’t going to win, so he decided he wanted to make some cash another way – via Cameo: “I won that $50k, honey. Girl, yes.”

Kori has been dubbed the queen of Cameo as Trinity said she “doesn’t know anyone who’s had such an illustrious Cameo career as him.” Trinity quipped: “You have broke the code!”
Speaking of how things started out on Cameo, Kori explained: “You know what’s crazy? When I started it it really wasn’t supposed to be that crazy, but I’m very competitive.” Kori “wanted to be number one,” so he said he dropped the price down to $5 and decided, “let’s rack up these points, honey.”
In between promo week and other commitments, Kori said he ended up doing hundreds of Cameos. And, because of the level of Cameos people are receiving, he said: “I feel like regular drag at this point is a step down.” Kori has dressed up in all kinds of costumes for customers, including transforming into the Grinch and Shrek.
More Drag Race stars have also made some serious money on the site, with Silky Nutmeg Ganache reported as one of the highest among the queens, with videos starting at about US$300 and higher.
