White House accuses Kim Kardashian of being ‘misinformed’ after she called out Trump’s raids
She's accused of being 'detached from reality'
The Department of Homeland Security issued a statement in response to Kim Kardashian after she publicly spoke out about Donald Trump’s ICE raids last week.
During an appearance in Venice last week, Kim Kardashian explained that she felt that the majority of those who are being deported have never committed a crime.
She said: “You want to believe that there’s a powerful message in protection, but then you see that it’s not really happening like that.
“It’s really tough, but I think that we have to do what we can to protect the people that have really supported and built our country. People I know. People my friends know.”
She continued: “You want to believe that there’s a powerful message in protection, but then you see that it’s not really happening like that.
“It’s really tough, but I think that we have to do what we can to protect the people that have really supported and built our country.”
The official Homeland Security Assistant Secretary, Tricia McLaughlin clapped back at her comments, accusing Kim Kardashian of being “misinformed.”
She told TMZ: “Ms. Kardashian is misinformed and detached from the very reality of the operations in Los Angeles she has decided to opine on.
“These are the violent criminals who Homeland Security, under President Trump and Secretary [Kristi] Noem’s leadership, have removed from Los Angeles streets: murderers, rapists, gang members and child pedophiles.”
“Why does Ms Kardashian continue to do the bidding of criminals at the expense of innocent Americans and brave law enforcement?” she added.
