All the times Meghan Markle proved there’s literally no reason to hate her
Sorry, but she's such a sweetheart
Meghan Markle’s With Love, Meghan Netflix series has been getting some scathing reviews. Season two arrived on August 26, and, for some reason, everyone appears to have a bone to pick with the Duchess of Sussex. It’s probably no surprise to her whatsoever, as she and her husband, Prince Harry, have been subjected to hate for years at this point. But, we had a quick flick through season two’s episodes, and she’s actually giving the world reasons to like her. Stick with us for a minute…
Meghan’s roast chicken admission
Speaking to Samin Nosrat during With Love, Meghan, season two episode four, talk turned to roast chicken. Proving that she’s just like the rest of us, Meghan said that it’s something she makes all the time. And, then she decided to share some down to earth details about the night that Prince Harry popped the question. Meghan said that she made a chicken that evening, but it turned out “horrible.” The Netflix star made the point: “…you can make a terrible chicken, and someone is still going to appreciate the thought.”
Meghan isn’t afraid to be honest
So, if we’re learning anything about Megs, it’s that she’s keen to keep it real. And, in a new interview on The Circuit with Emily Chang, she said that there was one aspect of being a part of the Royal family that felt “inauthentic” to her. Apparently, she had to wear “nude pantyhose all the time,” and “couldn’t be so vocal.” She explained that it simply “wasn’t her.”
“Let’s be honest, that was not very myself,” she said. “I hadn’t seen pantyhose since the eighties, when they came in the little egg? That felt a little bit inauthentic, but that’s a silly example… But it is an example of when you’re able to dress the way you wanna dress and you’re able to say the things that are true and you’re able to show up in the space really organically and authentically, that’s being comfortable in your own skin. And that’s, of course, had different chapters in my life… But right now, no, I don’t feel, I don’t feel that I need to prove anything.”
She admits she misses the UK

In another episode of With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex gets cooking with Tan France. Her guest calls her a “grandma” as she admits one thing she misses about living in the UK – the country’s radio stations!? Meghan admitted that she loves Magic FM. Tan called her out for liking a “grandma station,” but she fully owned it and said: “I’ll be that grandma.”
Her friends are pretty epic

As if we needed another reason to prove Meghan doesn’t deserve to be getting the hate that’s being fired her way – let’s take a look at the friends she’s cooking with. Someone’s circle of pals has got to be something to go off when it comes to doing a vibe-check.
During season two, Meghan said: “I love the idea of spending time together and finding new ways to show people you care and learning new things.” What’s not to love?! And, she appears to be being authentically herself as she laughs: “I don’t know what’s happening.” Some of the guests she cooks with during season two include Samin, Tan, Jay Shetty and Radhi Devlukia, José Andrés, David Chang, Heather Dorak, Daniel Martin, Clare Smyth, Chrissy Teigen, and Christina Tosi.
