The savage four-word response Prince Philip allegedly made after Meghan and Harry got married
The claim comes from a former royal butler
As if enough wild comments haven’t already been slung Meghan Markle‘s way, new claims from a book written by a former royal butler unearth even more. Meghan married Prince Harry in May 2018, and since then, they’ve become members of the royal family who seemingly have everybody divided. Looking back at an alleged remark made by the late Prince Philip, it seems he might not have been so keen about their nuptials.
Prince Philip’s alleged four-word remark
Meghan has been getting all kinds of slack lately. She gifted the Kardashians some cases of her $30 a pop rosé, which later got slated by influencers, and she also apparently was slammed by one of her role models last year.
People who are team Meghan are likely ready for the release of her new With Love Meghan episodes on Netflix, but some who appear to seriously dislike her are probably waiting just as patiently for the episodes, only to slam her.
It seems it wouldn’t be the first time people sat through something Meghan-related that they really didn’t want to. According to The Telegraph, a former royal butler, Grant Harrold, overheard some “choice words” over Meghan’s wedding ceremony from the late Duke of Edinburgh.
“Once all the formalities were over, we watched as the happy couple, and then the other members of the Royal family, filed out of the chapel… When Prince Philip came out, he turned to the Queen and said, ‘Thank f*** that’s over,'” he wrote.
He was determined to attend?!
Although Grant Harrold, who spent seven years at Highgrove as a royal butler, is detailing his account, there are some conflicting stories when it comes to how Prince Philip may have felt about Meghan and Harry’s big day.
According to Us Weekly, Ingrid Seward said that Philip was “determined to attend the wedding, which took place six weeks after the late prince had hip surgery.”
