Kim Kardashian dragged for lackluster apology after telling women to ‘get your a** up and work’
She added that 'nobody wants to work these days'
Trust Kim Kardashian to give a truly lacklustre of apology for saying something very insulting out of touch, which is exactly what she did in 2022.
During an interview with Variety, Kim decided to give her two cents about women not working hard enough, saying: “I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f**king a** up and work.
“It seems like nobody wants to work these days. You have to surround yourself with people that want to work.”

And Kim, I think it’s less that people don’t want to work and more that the job market is utter hell at the moment, not that I imagine she’s logged onto Indeed in a hot minute.
Regardless, Kim Kardashian went on to insist in a later interview with Good Morning America that what she’d said had been taken out of context.
She explained: “It wasn’t a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don’t respect the work or think that they don’t work hard. I know that they do. It was taken out of context, but I’m really sorry if it was received that way.”

She continued: “That statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it, and it became a soundbite really with no context.
“That soundbite, I came off of the notion and the question right before, which was, ‘After 20 years of being in the business, you’re famous for being famous,’ and my whole tone and attitude changed with the previous question that went into that question about, ‘What advice would you give to women?'”
As for the backlash that Kim Kardashian received for her comment, by those who said that she didn’t have to work hard for where she is, she responded: “Having a social media presence and being on a reality show does not mean overnight success, and you have to really work hard to get there, even if it might seem like it’s easy and that you can build a really successful business off of social media. And you can, if you put in a lot of hard work.”
