Here’s the shocking real reason Ozzy Osbourne ended up quitting The Osbournes
The entire show was shut down after four seasons
Ozzy Osbourne starred in The Osbournes from 2002 to 2005, until the show ultimately finished after season four, at the request of the family.
Since the show ended, Ozzy spoke out about the real reason he and his family decided to quit the show, revealing all to NME in 2020.
He explained: “The level of success that TV show got us was too much. I had to bow out. I said to Sharon: ‘I don’t like the way it makes me feel, and I can’t stand f*cking cameramen in my house.’
“I’m not upset that I did it, but I wouldn’t do it again. People were going: ‘Aren’t you worried about losing your fans?’ I said: ‘I’m not worried about losing my fans – I’m worried about losing my f*cking mind.’”

He revealed that one day a bunch of random tourists entered into their home unannounced, recalling: “God’s honest truth: one day I’m lying on the couch and about six or seven Japanese people come in… I thought they were friends of Kelly’s.
“I said: ‘Upstairs, second door on the right.’ I didn’t even want to f*cking get off the couch. Turned out they’d just walked in. Got off a tour bus and walked in the fucking house. It was nuts!”
The rest of the Osbournes had similar views on the negative impact of the show, with Kelly admitting the entire thing made her “so insecure.”
She admitted: “Imagine having to relive every conversation you’ve ever had throughout a 24-hour period or six-month period, and then all of a sudden people are judging everything you’ve said.
“You’re just like, ‘Wait, I just thought I was having a normal conversation, now this person hates me.’ It’s crazy. It just made me so insecure.”

Sharon later revealed the exact moment she knew The Osbournes had to end, telling Metal Hammer: “It was a great experience. But it had to end.
“It was something that you couldn’t keep going on and on and on because it wasn’t the real world, you know?
“It’s the bulls**t world where people you don’t even know will invite you to Russia for a party and fly you there, and they want to show you off that you came to their party in Russia.
“I mean, we got invited to the White House. It’s like, ‘Why the f*** do you want to talk to us? It’s nice for you to invite us. But what the f*** do you want to talk to us about? It’s not the real world. It was time to get back to reality.”
