Inside the insane axed reality show where men would literally compete against wild animals?!
This is literally the 100 men versus a gorilla in real life
Right, do you remember a few months ago when everyone was obsessed over the 100 men versus one gorilla debate? Yeah, well it turns out that there was a reality TV show in the early 2000s that literally took that exact concept.
This is the type of show that you genuinely cannot believe was greenlit, and would involve pitting men against different wild animals in gameshow style competitions.

The competitions in the reality TV show included; A professional eater losing a hot dog eating contest against a Kodiak bear, a US Navy SEAL winning a race against a chimpanzee through an obstacle course, a world class sprinter winning a 100-metre race against a giraffe but losing against a zebra and a sumo wrestler losing a tug-of-war against a female orangutan.
Yes seriously, as insane as they all sound they genuinely all happened on the show, and there’s even the pictures to prove it.

And a UK version of the show was set to air on ITV, before it was pulled at the very last minute after being branded as “sick and degrading” by animal rights protestors.
However, at the time a spokesperson for ITV denied that the show had been cancelled due to criticism, insisting it was a “scheduling decision.”
The spokesperson stated: “We absolutely do not agree the show was unfair to animals. It was a scheduling decision and nothing to do with criticism of the show from pressure groups. We will reschedule it at a later date.”
