The cast reactions are honestly priceless
Aww, Love on the Spectrum is finally being recognised for what the show is worth, because it has had five Emmy nominations! Director Cian O’Clery has had three nominations, while the rest of the production crew that put the series together are on the list.
The show has been nominated for:
- Outstanding unstructured reality program
- Outstanding directing – Cian O’Clery
- Outstanding picture editing – Leanne Cole, Rachel Grierson-Johns, Gretchen Peterson, John Rosser
- Outstanding cinematography – Dave May, Cian O’Clery
- Outstanding casting – Cian O’Clery, Sean Bowman, Emma Choate
Other reality shows in the Outstanding unstructured reality program are The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, and Welcome to Wrexham.
Connor spoke out to say the cast mates “have become family,” while Sonia, who went on a date with James, said she is “so happy” about the news. Tanner said it’s “so exciting” – and we can vote for the show ourselves, with the Emmys ceremony set for September 14th.
Final voting begins on August 18th and ends on August 27th. Tanner added to the news: “I feel so lucky to have been on this cast for 2 seasons… it has completely changed my life and I’m so grateful for the experiences and the people who are now like extended family!”
Director Cian O’Clery wrote: “Congratulations to each and every member of our amazing cast and our incredible crew! Very nice news to receive,” while Georgie, who is in a relationship with Connor, told him she’s “honoured to be a small part of it”.
Cast member Dani Bowman said: “I’m honestly speechless (and that never happens 😂)! Being part of this show has changed my life,and seeing it recognized like this for the 3 year in a row is amazing and Unreal. Thank you to the Academy for celebrating neurodiverse love.”
