Every single problematic thing this years controversial Love Island USA cast have done
It's truly abysmal
Could this be one of the most problematic cast groups of Love Island USA we’ve ever seen on the show? Given some of the things they’ve been called out or even removed from the show for, I’d say yes.
So, let’s have a look at every problematic thing the very controversial Love Island USA cast have done to land themselves in some seriously hot water.

Nic

An old video of Nic and a friend resurfaced on his TikTok, in which they appear to be either dissecting or cutting a cat’s fur off.
The caption reads: “He say he hungry this p**** a kitchen #fyp #foryoupage #chinese.”
Huda

A Twitter user found a video on Huda’s TikTok account, which has since been removed, of her lip syncing to a song which includes the n-word, with Huda appearing to also say the word.
She originally posted the video alongside the caption: “These lyrics”, and following the video resurfacing online, there are now calls from viewers to also get Huda removed from the Love Island USA villa for saying a slur.
Yulissa

Cast member Yulissa was caught saying the n-word three times in a November 2024 podcast, just days before she walked into the Love Island USA villa.
She is seen saying in the shocking viral video that went round, “Are you that n**** that controls what she wears?” and, in a separate video in a podcast, is heard saying, “I’m not perfect, now I’m f***ing my n****, he’s my n*****.
She was removed from the villa as a result, and released a statement apologising for her actions.
TJ

TJ has a controversial following list on social media, as he appeared to follow far-right men, such as Andrew Tate, Alex Jones and Elon Musk.
Screenshots from viewers appeared to show that he’s following these people, and while he still follows Elon, his X account no longer follows Andrew or Alex since word spread about his controversial views.
Cierra

Cast member Cierra was removed from the Love Island USA villa following resurfaced images of her saying a slur.
In a screenshot of Cierra’s Instagram story, posted to Reddit, she wrote: “Botox isn’t for everyone but I love it for me!!!
“I am incredibly expressive with my face and I catch myself frowning for no reason throughout the day when I’m focusing on something or thinking too hard lol.
“I can also be a little ch*nky when I laugh/smile so I love getting a mini brow lift to open up my eyes and get that snatched look. This is not me encouraging but moreso sharing.”

A second instance of her using the ethnic slur was discovered after a video Cierra herself posted on her TikTok.
The video is a compilation of pictures to show the difference in her appearance before and after she went to the University of Arizona, with another one of her captions including the slur.
The picture was posted in 2015, with the caption: “Still ch*nkin’ at the top.”
She’s since apologised for using the slur, and admitted she feels “genuinely ashamed” of using the word and “doesn’t expect forgiveness overnight.”
Austin

The allegations of racism against Austin emerged after he was released from the Love Island USA villa and shared an allegedly racist post, which has since been deleted.
He later addressed the repost, stating: “I want to take a moment to address my recent repost that has caused offense to some of you. As you all know, I have a very dry sense of humor, and I genuinely didn’t think before sharing that content.
“It was never my intention to hurt or upset anyone. I value and respect all individuals and their perspectives.”
He continued: “I recognise that my choice of content did not resonate well with everyone, and for that, I sincerely apologise.
“I’m committed to learning from this experience and to being more mindful in the future. Thank you for your understanding and for holding me accountable. Love you all and thank you so much for an incredible experience.”
