Debunked: Olandria has been falsely accused of using a homophobic slur in fake DMs
Thank god it's not another islander being exposed
An account that appears to belong to Love Island USA’s Olandria looked like she had used a homophobic slur, but it’s fake. Someone falsely shared that she used the word ‘f****t’ while messaging a friend about a hair appointment, calling her choice of word “crazy”.

Olandria’s account on Instagram appeared to be DMing a gay friend, who told her that they got their hair done at a particular shop that was “fully booked,” before they offered to send her the link. Her account replied, “But you said you booked it for me?”
She added, “So why did you take my spot?” The friend responded, “I told you she charges late fees and since I booked on my card, I’d get the fee. I can book you for later. Tuesday?” Olandria’s page then replied, “Why do you even need your hair done f****t.”
Olandria’s account also said, “YOU’RE A MAN.” They replied, “F****t is crazy. YOU WERE TWO HOURS AWAY. WTF girl do you want me to wait 2 hours and lose $50 off my card?” She then read it and didn’t reply, by the looks of the DMs.
In an effort to seemingly prove the messages came from Olandria’s account, a video showed the friend clicking on her official page and showing her recent story from July 7th, which was based on voting for Olandria and Nic as a couple.
However, there’s a huge theory that the entire video is AI-generated and completely false. One person tweeted that a “hater faked Olandria’s DMs/IG account and edited her saying the f slur.” It’s also clear that the usual call buttons on Instagram aren’t in the video.
